Plasterers in Swansea

Cracks that come back after every repaint, a ceiling stained by an old leak, a room that needs skimming before it's decorated. Add a photo of the wall or ceiling as it is now and one of the whole room, and plasterers quote in the app.

You post the job from the Handled app.

The home screen: "Hi there", "What needs doing?", a "Describe the job" box, and "Or pick a trade" with a "List view" button and tiles for Plumber, Electrician, Cleaner, Exterior cleaner, Handyman and Gardener.

Questions

Questions about plastering

Skim or patch — which do I choose?

Patch and crack repairs are for small areas. Skimming puts a new finish over a whole wall or room. If you're not sure, describe what you see; the photos show the plasterer the condition before they quote.

Can a plasterer do the outside of the house?

Yes — rendering is listed under Plasterer. Add a photo of the wall and say in the notes how high it goes.

My ceiling is stained from an old leak. Who do I need?

If the leak is fixed, a plasterer can quote for the ceiling. If it's still dripping, post the leak first — under Plumber or Roofer — so the cause is dealt with before the ceiling.

Can I post several rooms at once?

Yes. Choose Several rooms or whole house and list the rooms in the notes. The plasterer can quote it as one job, or in stages you pay for and approve one at a time.

Do plasterers put up coving?

Yes, coving is one of the plastering jobs in the app. Say how many rooms, and add a photo of the ceiling line — especially if new coving has to match the old.
