Questions about garden jobs
How do I describe the size of the garden?
The app gives three choices: small — a yard or small garden; medium — a typical back garden; large — a big garden or several areas. A photo shows the rest.
Can the gardener take the waste away?
Say so in the notes. Gardeners see whether you want green waste taken away before they quote, and the quote lists what's included.
Do gardeners fix fences?
Fence repairs and new panels are listed under Gardener, so choose Fence repair or panels. A close photo of the damaged post or panel shows what's needed.
The only way into my garden is through the house. Does that matter?
Say so. The app asks for a photo of the way in, and the notes are the place to mention steps or a narrow passage. Many terraces in Swansea have no side access, so gardeners look for it.
Can I get a patio laid?
Choose Patio and paving and give a rough size. A gardener can quote a bigger job in stages: you pay for each stage in the app and approve it when it's done.
